Sophomore UGA ILB Jaden Hunter transfers to Western Kentucky

On Friday, Georgia inside linebacker Jaden Hunter announced on Twitter that he would be transferring to Western Kentucky and becoming a Hilltopper.

Hunter entered the transfer portal in April after redshirting his sophomore year at Georgia.

Coming out of high school, Hunter was rated as a four-star recruit out of Atlanta, Georgia and had offers from multiple SEC schools including the Bulldogs, as well as the Tennessee Volunteers. He ultimately signed with Georgia in 2017, but never received playing time during his tenure with the program.

With a team like Western Kentucky, Hunter will be more likely to see playing time, especially after a year of getting experience in practice and on the sidelines with an organization like Georgia.
