Strengths: On his high school tape, Rochester’s most apparent strength is his own physical strength. The Powder Springs native uses his tremendous upper-body ability in bullying offensive linemen and snapping quarterbacks in half. Rochester has a good enough first step to consistently gain leverage on opposing linemen, and at that point the play usually ends badly for the opposing team. For all of Rochester’s impressive natural talents, he does a good job of using his hands to break free from defenders. While most of the the time Rochester could use his brute strength to bowl over linemen, he uses hands to carve his 315 pound frame around high school offensive linemen.
Scouting report: Five-Star defensive lineman Julian Rochester
