ATHENS, Ga. – During the painstaking recovery of the past 10 months, only once did Georgia tailback Nick Chubb allow himself to get a little scared. Only once, after the horrific knee injury suffered last October against Tennessee, did he consider the worst: That he might never again be as good as he once was.
“The only time I thought like that is when it (the injury) actually happened,” Chubb said when I met with him last Friday. “And maybe after the surgery a little bit. But once I could walk, I knew I would eventually run.
