Regardless of the coaching era, Georgia’s imprint on the football landscape continues to be strong on professional football’s biggest stage.
Here’s a few highlights from week one of the NFL season.
In true Georgia defensive player fashion, Shawn Williams was ejected from the Bengals season-opener for a helmet hit on Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Williams claimed the hit was incidental. Corey Moore also had a tackle for the Colts in the loss.

Williams wasn’t the only for Bulldog coming out on the winning side of Cincy’s 24-23 win with both Geno Atkins on defense and Clint Boling on offense helping the Bengals win the game in the trenches.
