NCAA punishes former Georgia Bulldog after being medically cleared to play football

Former Georgia football tight end Pearce Spurlin had a bright future in front of him in Athens. Spurlin was the No. 2 tight end in the 2023 recruiting class and came to Georgia hoping to continue to stretch of excellence the Bulldogs have had at tight end. Unfortunately he had to step away from the program last year to deal with some medical issues.

Fast forward to Tuesday and reports surfaced that he has made a full recovery and has been medically cleared to play football game.

Ex-Georgia tight end Pearce Spurlin is entering the transfer portal, a source tells @CBSSports.
