Georgia’s Davis Thompson posted two victories and a tie during the Arnold Palmer Cup that concluded at Bay Hill Club & Lodge on Wednesday.
The Arnold Palmer Cup uses a Ryder Cup-style format and pits American collegiate golfers against their international counterparts.
Representing the United States, Thompson earned wins in Foursomes and Mixed Foursomes. He teamed with Vanderbilt’s John Augenstein for a 6&4 win over Wake Forest teammates Alex Fitzpatrick and Mark Power. Thompson combined with Southern Cal’s Allisen Corpuz for a 4&3 win over New Mexico’s Sam Choi and Texas Tech’s Sofia Garcia in Mixed Foursomes.
