ESPN College Football Analyst Kirk Herbstreit has named his rankings of the top college football teams he’s seen so far this season. His list excludes teams like Ohio State, Oregon, and more because they haven’t played yet.
Herbstreit ranks his top six after a wild opening week for many conferences. Oklahoma, a perennial contender, fell 38-35 to Kansas State. It marks the second straight season the Wildcats have toppled the Sooners. Additionally, the defending national champion LSU Tigers fell to Mike Leach’s Mississippi State Bulldogs in an upset loss.
