When it comes to winning the Heisman Trophy, every game matters. To come out on top with regards to college football's greatest individual honor, a player needs to not only put up stats, but play for a high-end team. Gunner Stockton is able to do that at Georgia because the Dawgs are dominant and he is an incredible dual-threat playmaker. His big performance vs. Tennessee in Week 3 was stellar.
That being said, the Heisman Trophy is also a "What have you done for me lately?" type of award. It does not matter what you did weeks ago, but the impression you leave in the minds of the Heisman voters in the here and now.
