G.O.A.T Georgia Bulldogs football coaches

This week at UGAWire we will be holding G.O.A.T. Week, where we will examine some of the greatest coaches, players and teams in the history of Georgia football.

Started in 1892, there have been 26 different men act as head coach of the Georgia football program.

Georgia’s first ever head coach was a man by the name of Charles Herty. Though Herty only coached the Bulldogs for one year, he is arguably the most important figure in the program’s history, as he brought football to Athens, Georgia. 120+ years later, UGA is one of college football’s most historic programs, rich in tradition and excellence.
