Georgia defensive tackle Trenton Thompson entered his college career as the consensus No. 1 overall prospect for the 2015 national recruiting class.
So far, Thompson has lived up to the hype with two solid campaigns during his time in Athens, which included a team-best five sacks, as well as winning the overall MVP and Defensive MVP awards during last season’s AutoZone Liberty Bowl victory over TCU.
NFL scouts have started to take notice. According to WalterFootball.com, an anonymous scout mentioned Thompson among the top potential first-round prospects in next year’s draft.
