ATHENS, Ga. – “What are you going to do when the baby cries?”
That’s the question that former Georgia defensive line coach Tracy Rocker had for John Atkins the last time they spoke.
In reality, the Bulldogs senior defensive tackle had to answer the question because he’s the father of a seven-month-old son.
But it also applies for how he must handle serving as a leader on the field this season as the lone senior on the defensive line and one of the most experienced players on the Georgia defense.
Last season, five freshmen and three sophomores were among those who saw action on the defensive line.
