Georgia’s David Marshall getting first-team DT reps in practice

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia freshman David Marshall worked as a first-team defensive tackle in its dime package during Wednesday’s practice.

Marshall worked alongside sophomore Trent Thompson during the drills. The outside linebackers were Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy, and Natrez Patrick worked as the lone inside linebacker.

Sophomore defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter was standing next to defensive line coach Tracy Rocker for the entire drill, likely so that he could get caught up on his assignments in certain situations. Georgia coach Kirby Smart said Tuesday that Ledbetter’s six-game suspension had concluded and that he would be eligible to play Saturday against Vanderbilt.
