Georgia had one thing on their mind after five-star quarterback Jared Curtis flipped to Vanderbilt, revenge. The Bulldogs were guaranteed to play Curtis and Vanderbilt within two years because of the SEC's new scheduling model after adopting a nine game conference season, but it was unclear when that first matchup would occur. Georgia however was hoping their first matchup against the Commodores would come sooner rather than later so they could get some revenge as soon as possible.
Thankfully that opportunity is coming much sooner than anyone could have hoped for.
