Georgia football is entering the postseason as the No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff. While that is a great spot to be because it earns them a first round bye, the 3-seed overall has not faired too well throughout the history of the playoff.
The playoff began in 2014, and entering the 12th year of the playoff the 3-seed has only won a national title one time. On top of that, the 3-seed holds a 6-10 overall record during the entire history of the playoff as well.
Georgia will look to change the course of history for the 3-seed in the playoff, but history shows they are the team best equipped to do that.
