Recruiting is everything, especially in southeastern college football. With the Penn State Nittany Lions firing their former long-time head coach James Franklin after an 0-3 start to Big Ten play, one by one, top-flight recruits are de-committing from Penn State. This includes four-star edge rusher Elijah Littlejohn. He had been committed to Penn State since June, but just re-opened everything.
Littlejohn had 30 official offers, taking official visits previously with Penn State and Georgia Tech over the summer. With other notable teams like Ohio State potentially looking to capitalize on Penn State's downfall, Georgia is incredibly smart to get him to Athens at this stage of the game here.
