HOOVER, Ala. — Georgia fans do not have to worry about defensive tackle Trenton Thompson being ready to play in 2017. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart made that clear Tuesday at SEC Media Days.
“Trenton should be full-go and be ready to go,” Smart said. “He’s recovered from the shoulder surgery. He is doing everything now that we’ve asked and he’s gone out to workout really hard. His conditioning has been really good and his weight’s been really good.”
Thompson missed Georgia’s spring practices after taking a leave of absence from school. He has since re-enrolled, is working out with the team and is said to be fully recovered from offseason shoulder surgery.
