Penn State firing James Franklin may still feel like old news, but Georgia is still reaping the benefits from it. While UGA and Penn State do not face each other on the field, they do battle on the recruiting trail quite often, and that is where UGA is benefitting from Franklin being fired.
The Bulldogs are after a few players that were committed to Penn State, but none of them have decided that Georgia is the right place for them yet. That likely is because all of those recruits are in the 2027 class, so there is no rush for them to commit to any school.
