Vince Dooley had the opportunity to coach a lot of great athletes while he was the Georgia football head coach.
By far the best one was Herschel Walker, but there were some other outstanding players. Here are my top five players, not named Herschel Walker, that was coached by Vince Dooley.
Georgia has always had great players on their football team. At least as far back as I can remember. Of course, I came up with Eric Zeier, Garrison, Hearst, Andre Hastings, and head coach Ray Goff.
Well, Goff’s predecessor, Vince Dooley, had quite a few elite athletes as well.
