The first ever no. 1 recruiting class in Georgia football history is present and accounted for in Athens. 18 members of that class saw the field Saturday against Austin Peay, many of them received valuable playing time. Here were the five best freshmen who made their Georgia football debuts this past Saturday.
1. QB – Justin Fields
Fields certainly lived up to expectations in his first outing. He only tossed eight passes, but seven of them ended in a completion, for a total of 63 yards with one touchdown. He also carried the ball three times for 11 yards.
