Georgia football coach Kirby Smart on James Cook's versatility

When 5-star running back James Cook signed with Georgia in December of 2017, nobody knew just how much he’d bring to the Bulldogs’ offense.

Even last year, Cook’s freshman season, he was really just a ball carrier deep on the depth chart.

But so far in 2019, Cook has shown flashes of the versatile Isaiah McKenzie, running, catching and returning kickoffs with his incredible speed and elusiveness.

In 2019, two games through his sophomore year, Cook, the younger brother of Minnesota Vikings star Dalvin Cook, finds himself on track for 1,000+ all-purpose yards this season.
