The Georgia men’s basketball team (9-7) plays host to its arch rival Saturday in Stegeman Coliseum. The Florida Gators (9-7) come calling after a tough road loss to Mississippi State (13-3) on Tuesday.
Georgia, having lost its last two games to Auburn (13-3) and Kentucky (13-3), is in a fairly similar position. Both teams are off to a rough start in conference play after a few tough games, making Saturday’s contest a must win for the Bulldogs and Gators.
NCAA Tournament hopes are looking rather slim in Athens and Gainesville, though there is still a lot left to play for and by no means is the season over.
