Georgia captains announced for South Carolina game

This Saturday, No. 3 Georgia (5-0, 2-0) hosts South Carolina (2-3, 1-2) in Sanford Stadium.

Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on ESPN, a game in which the Bulldogs are favored by 24.5 points.

On Friday, Georgia announced that running back Brian Herrien, wide receiver Lawrence Cager and safety J.R. Reed will act as captains for the game.

Two seniors and a graduate student, the three of them have played huge roles in Georgia’s success to this point in the season.

For Herrien, he’s shown why it pays to stay patient. Each of his first three seasons in Athens, he never once finished higher than third on the team’s rushing list.
