Georgia Bulldogs suffer rash of high-profile decommitments

For the Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart, everything on the surface appears to be going great. On the field, Georgia is undefeated, ranked in the top five, and preparing for a big game Saturday at LSU.

On the recruiting trail, the Bulldogs are currently ranked in the top five as well for the 2019 recruiting cycle.

Everything’s great, right?

Not exactly. Despite the high recruiting ranking, The Bulldogs received three decommitments in the past week, all from prospects ranked among the top 350 recruits in the country.

Five-star wide receiver Jadon Haselwood (Ellenwood, GA) committed to Georgia way back on March 16, 2017 and stayed committed to the Bulldogs for more than 18 months before decommitting on October 2, 2018.
