Unfortunately for Dawg fans, their team wasn’t sitting in the headlines last night because it had pulled off a remarkable and unexpected upset. Instead, UGA lost after perhaps the most bizarre officiating of the 2019 season so far.
Having tied the game up with seconds to go, the Dawgs fouled Mississippi State’s Quinndary Weatherspoon with just half a second on the clock. After the first throw dinked off the rim, a small, fluffy UGA Bulldog ended up being thrown on the floor by a probably over excited Georgia fan.
