Georgia basketball adds size through transfer portal

Although Georgia’s basketball season ended just a few weeks ago, the Bulldogs have already had plenty of roster changes. On Friday, Georgia received a commitment from Braelen Bridges. Bridges is a transfer from the University of Illinois-Chicago that should bring size and a post-presence to a Georgia team that missed that this past season.

The 6-foot-10 transfer stands taller than any Georgia player returning. Bridges is a native of Atlanta and attended Union Grove High School, where he received All-Region honors and helped take the Wolverines to the state playoffs. He averaged 9.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, playing in 18 contests this past season for the Flames.
