ATHENS, Ga. – While keeping an eye on weather in the Atlantic or the Gulf is not at the top of an athletic director’s priorities, we have seen that it is a reality now.
Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have disrupted college football schedules in the southeast, and Florida and LSU are the two SEC teams whose schedules have been impacted. It’s the second season in a row both schools have been affected by a hurricane. Florida has lost a game; the same goes for Florida State, Miami, UCF and USF. LSU’s opener against BYU was moved from flood-ravaged Houston to New Orleans.
