For a quarterback who was ranked as a top-five overall prospect in the 2016 recruiting cycle, Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason didn’t have the best of seasons last year as a true freshman. While he had his moments, they were few and the Bulldogs went just 8-5.
But CBS Sports analyst Gary Danielson isn’t concerned as Eason now goes into his second season.
During a conference call Thursday, Danielson backed the sophomore, saying that he thinks improvements are needed elsewhere in order to help him better thrive.
“I was shocked at the lack of talent surrounding Jacob Eason last year,” Danielson said.
