Who will be Georgia football's No. 2 running back this season? Most assumed it would be Illinois transfer Josh McCray, but he is yet to participate in fall camp as he is dealing with an illness. So someone likely will have to step up at the start of the season as McCray acclimates himself to Georgia and gets back in playing shape.
Thankfully it sounds like redshirt freshman Chauncey Bowens is quickly becoming one of UGA's most reliable running backs entering the 2025 season.
Chauncey Bowens is breaking through at the perfect time
Bowens likely isn't a running back Georgia fans are too familiar with as he only ran for 58 yards on 16 carries during his true freshman season in 2024.
