Former UGA RB to become assistant for South Carolina Gamecocks

South Carolina has pulled in yet another Bulldog to coach in Columbia. Thomas Brown, a former Georgia running back and coach, will join Will Muschamp’s staff to help lead the Gamecocks this year.

Brown joins Muschamp and offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon in the trio of former Bulldogs now coaching at South Carolina. Brown last coached on the Bulldogs’ staff during the 2015 season after previously working with Wisconsin. He then left for Coral Gables with Mark Richt before winding up in Columbia.

This will be Brown’s fifth job in college football and second in the SEC.
