Former Georgia football coach expected to be named new interim head coach

Another Sunday means more college football head coaches are being fired across the country. Florida made the biggest headline as they parted ways with Billy Napier after a 3-4 start this season. But the Gators weren’t the only program to fire their head coach as Colorado State moved on from head coach Jay Norvell as well.

It’s obvious why Florida firing Napier matters to Georgia, but Colorado State moving on from their head coach on the other hand seems like it has zero connection to UGA. And while that is the case at first glance, Colorado State is expected to name a former Georgia coach as their interim head coach for the rest of the season.
