Former Georgia 3B Aaron Schunk off to scorching-hot start with Boise Hawks

Aaron Schunk, the former Georgia baseball third-basemen and reigning John Olerud Award winner was drafted in the second round of this year’s MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies.

The Atlanta native out of the Lovett School is currently playing for the Boise Hawks, developing his skills for a possible future in Denver.

This week, Schunk has been heating up from behind the plate for the Hawks.

On Friday, the two-way star hit a home-run for Boise before going 4/4 Saturday with three runs scored.

Sunday, Schunk had yet another big game, hitting a game-tying RBI Double against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes before Boise ultimately fell 4-3 in 12 innings.
