Former Georgia tailback Robert Edwards joined “XL Primetime” on 1010XL Radio in Jacksonville to discuss his memories of the Georgia-Florida rivalry this week.
“For me personally it means a great deal,” Edwards told 1010XL. “I know at my time at Georgia, I didn’t get an opportunity to beat Florida until my senior year. That was a very special moment to me because I was a contributing factor to us winning that game.
“Going out on top against those guys and maintaining bragging rights knowing that I left a winner against Florida.”
Edwards says the feeling you get when crossing over the bridges in downtown Jacksonville on game day and seeing the fans line the streets on the way to the stadium is quite the experience.
