UGA received some great news Wednesday as five-star outside linebacker Smael Mondon verbally committed, making him the tenth pledge in their 2021 recruiting cycle.
Per 247Sports Composite, Mondon is rated as the No. 26 ranked prospect nationally, No. 2 outside linebacker and No. 3 player in Georgia. Rivals has Mondon rated as a four-star that ranks No. 85 nationally, No. 4 at his position and the No. 8 ranked prospect from the Peach State.
The Dallas, Georgia native held offers from over 20 schools, but a lot of experts had predicted that he would end up in Athens.
