The senior hasn’t played for the Georgia baseball team (15-11, 2-4 Southeastern Conference) since the Diamond Dogs’ loss to Kentucky March 20. He’s been sidelined by what coaches have described as a sore back. Nichols made the trip to Mississippi State last weekend, but wasn’t feeling well enough to play.
