Scott Stricklin’s Georgia baseball team will fight for their tournament lives this afternoon when they face off against the mighty Hofstra Lions in an elimination game.
The Diamond ‘‘Dawgs put themselves behind the eight ball with an 8-1 loss to Virginia Commonwealth on Friday: VCU, winners on fifteen straight headed into the day, continued their streak as one of the hottest teams in America. VCU scores three runs in the first and tallied four homers, cruising past the Bulldogs and into the winners bracket.
Georgia and Hofstra will now face off at 1:00 pm on SEC Network in a loser-goes-home matchup.
