Georgia linebacker Monty Rice announced via his Twitter account on Wednesday morning that he will be returning for his senior season.
This is huge for the Dawgs’ defense because Rice is coming off his best year yet in Athens to date. The junior was voted to the Associated Press All-SEC 2nd Team and was named a co-winner of Vince Dooley Defensive MVP award which is given at the team’s post-season awards gala banquet in December.
Rice played and started in all 14 games this season leading the team in total tackles with 89 with 50 of them being solo stops.
