Texas doesn't need any help finding motivation to play Georgia on Saturday. The Longhorns lost to Georgia twice last season, once at home as the No. 1 team in the country and a second time in the SEC Championship game.
Two losses to the same team can't get any worse than that, so this is the one game on Texas's schedule this season that they want to win the most. But there is another piece of motivation at play on Saturday for Texas involving the College Football Playoff.
The Longhorns were in the 12-team field on Tuesday when the CFP committee released their second rankings of the season, but they are by no means a lock to make the playoff at this point.
