CJ Allen injury update: Georgia star linebacker exits game shortly before halftime

The Georgia Bulldogs cannot afford to lose their star linebacker CJ Allen for any lengthy duration. While the Georgia defense has been every bit up and down this season, Allen has been the star performer throughout. He is a candidate for the Butkus Award as the best linebacker in the country. Although he may not win it, his great play has been instrumental in Georgia making a charge of late.

Up 14-3 not long before halftime, Allen suffered what looks to be a leg injury on a play trying to disrupt the passer. He got pushed to the ground by a Texas player shortly after quarterback Arch Manning was able to throw the ball.
