John Emery Sr. was planning on future recruiting trips with his son, five-star running back John Emery Jr, when he received a call Tuesday night. John had tweeted his commitment to LSU.
“It’s a no-brainer,” Emery Sr. said Wednesday on my radio show.
The younger Emery is rated as the No. 2 running back in the country and the 21st overall prospect in the 247 Sports Composite. He committed to Georgia this summer before decommitting in October. The Dawgs depth chart had a major factor in that decision.
“He called me and said, ‘dad, I didn’t realize Georgia had so many running backs,’” Emery Sr.
