Carolina Panthers cut a pair of Georgia football rookies

The Carolina Panthers have completed their 53-man roster by cutting former Georgia running back Elijah Holyfield, an undrafted rookie, on Sunday.

This comes one day after the Panthers announced they cut former Georgia wide receiver Terry Godwin, a 7th round pick.

The NFL Preseason officially concluded on Thursday, giving teams 48 hours to make some of the toughest cuts of the offseason.

Unfortunately, that meant a few Bulldogs were likely going to lose their job over the weekend, and sadly that meant two we were really rooting for in Godwin and Holyfield.

The decision to cut Holyfield comes after the Panthers made three new waiver claims.
