Former standout Georgia Bulldog golfer Bubba Watson will The Open Championship after having direct exposure to COVID-19. Watson looks forward to watching the event, but is upset that he has the miss the major tournament because he has been vaccinated.
Bubba Watson was in good form leading up to the tournament. Watson had consecutive top 20 finishes including a tied-sixth place finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic event last weekend.
Watson announced that he will be unable to compete in The Open Championship via his Twitter account:
Fans will miss watching Bubba Watson this year, but he should be able to play in tournaments soon.
