Breaking: Branson Robinson Out For Season

Georgia’s already strained running back rotation has taken another hit, one it could ill afford. Kirby Smart announced this afternoon that sophomore Branson Robinson will miss the entire 2023 season after suffering a ruptured patella tendon.

The Mississippi native is expected to make a full recovery, but his absence is going to leave a gaping hole in the Athenians’ offense. Robinson pounded out 330 yards on 68 Carrie’s in 2022, scoring 2 of his 3 touchdowns on the season in the national title game. He had been expected to serve as a de facto co-starter with Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton in an offense looking to spread the load.
