Just two weekend series remain until the Diamond Dawgs start SEC play, so there’s no time like the present to fine-tune things with North Florida in town this weekend.
That’s especially true with Georgia looking to start a win streak after its run of seven wins in a row was halted in Wednesday’s 6-4 loss to Kennesaw State.
In that defeat, baserunning miscues and hitting into multiple double plays helped keep the game close, and the Owls rallied to win.
If Georgia is to be a team built on strong pitching and a team that does not score six runs per game, it’ll have a slim margin of error.
