Bears ILB coach says Roquan Smith has all the tools to be one of NFL's 'premier players'

After an unconventional start to Roquan Smith’s NFL career last year, it did not take Bears fans long to begin to adore the former Georgia linebacker.

First there was the incident where Smith’s iPad, which contained the team’s playbook, was stolen from his vehicle. Then there was the holdout due to language in his rookie contract. Following a 29 day holdout, Smith injured his hamstring just one week after joining the team’s practice. He missed the entire preseason.

However, during the regular season, Smith was an absolute monster on the field, just as he was during his time at Georgia.
