This summer, 26 former and current Georgia Bulldog standouts will be competing at the 2020 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. 15 of Georgia’s 26 athletes will be representing Team USA.
The 2020 Olympic Games officially open July 23 and close on Aug. 8, 2021. The global sports event was delayed one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Athletes patiently waited and now their dreams have a chance to come true in the Summer Olympics.
The only the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (36) and London 2012 Olympics (30) had larger fields of Georgia Bulldog athletes.
