Freshman Jamorko Pickett made three straight 3-pointers en route to matching his career high of 21 points, previously set in these teams’ first match-up. Junior big Jessie Govan scored 8 straight Hoya points by expertly filling the gaps in the 1-3-1 Musketeer zone, eventually finishing with his now customary double-double. A double-clutch Pickett triple put Georgetown ahead going into the half.
But the advantage wouldn’t last after the break. The Hoyas went scoreless for more than five minutes, giving up 12 straight Musketeer points in the process.
