It was just like old times at the Verizon Center Wednesday night as Otto Porter was unstoppable in setting a career-high with 34 points as the Wizards led wire to wire in routing the Celtics 118-93 for their second win of the season.
Porter was extremely efficient on the night in going 15 of 19 from the field in a game that was reminiscent of his college days. So much so that as Porter remained on the bench in the dying moments of the game the crowd could be heard through the television broadcast chanting, “OTTO-PORTER”.
Porter now joins Jeff Green and Roy Hibbert as former Hoyas who played under John Thompson III to score at least 30 points in an NBA game.
