Dickerson had committed to Georgetown in May 2014 but had decided to re-open his recruitment just two months later. Though the reasons behind that decision have never fully become clear, it's possible that Georgetown's recruitment of recent Cal commit and fellow forward Ivan Rabb might have rubbed Dickerson the wrong way.
