WASHINGTON - Georgetown University junior men’s basketball player L.J. Peak (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney) was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Peak helped to lead the Hoyas to a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents, topping then-No. 16 Creighton, 71-51, last Wednesday, and then beating then-No. 11 Butler, 85-81, at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday night.
A guard, Peak averaged 21.0 points, 5.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 58.3 percent from the floor and 50.0 percent from 3-point land.
He scored 20 points and had five assists in the win over Creighton and followed that up with a game-high 22 points, six assists and three boards in the win at Butler.
