WASHINGTON - Georgetown University sophomore men's basketball player L.J. Peak (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney) was selected to the USA Basketball Men's U-19 World Championship Team after five days of tryouts at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Peak was among 24 players who accepted invitations to take part in the training camp, which started last Friday, June 12. The training camp roster was cut to 16 players on Monday before being finalized today by head coach Sean Miller (Arizona), as well as assistant coaches Ed Cooley (Providence) and Archie Miller (Dayton).
The training camp was utilized to select the 12-member roster for the 2015 USA Basketball Men's U19 World Championship Team.
